About me…
Hi there, and thanks so much for stopping by!
From a young age, I’ve loved the creativity that comes with writing in rhyme, mainly through poems, where words flow freely and ideas come to life.
With a background of studies in drama and theatre, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for storytelling and the many forms it can take.
The idea to write my own book first came to me during weekly commutes between Wolverhampton and London. Where imagination met travel, or boredom, or both... In between moments of double booked seat madness, crying babies, the haunting line of “Tickets Please” and all the other form of chaos that comes with general UK rail travel, I began to pen down some ideas.
After playing around with a few different concepts, I decided to create a children’s book. Why? Because at heart, I’m still a big kid. I figured that writing for children allows for the freedom to be as imaginative, silly, and honest as you like…And that’s how FUZZ was born: on an Avanti West Coast train, somewhere between Wolverhampton and London, via crying babies and the odd ticket inspector. Inspirational, I know…
The book marks the beginning of my journey as a self-published author, and I’m genuinely excited to see where it goes. If you’ve picked up a copy of FUZZ or intend to, thank you for giving it a home! and if you enjoy it, please do let me know - your support is greatly appreciated.
I also want to give a big thank you to the amazing Sarah-Leigh Willis at Happydesigner, who brought FUZZ to life through her stunning illustrations. If you're looking for an illustrator, definitely check her out!
Thanks again for visiting and feel free to reach out and let me know what you think of the book. I’d love to hear from you!
Bye for now.
